That means faster scheduling, owner-operated service on every job, and a team that genuinely knows what Las Vegas Valley conditions do to pools.
We bring full electronic detection equipment to every Las Vegas job: pressure testing rigs, dye testing kits, hydrophones, ground microphones, and visual inspection tools. We don't guess. We test until we find your leak.
Why Las Vegas Pools Develop Leaks
The Las Vegas Valley creates a uniquely brutal set of conditions for backyard pools. A few specifics:
Caliche substrate. Most Las Vegas pools sit on caliche. A cemented mineral layer beneath the soil that doesn't behave like ordinary dirt. Caliche shifts with hydration cycles, expanding when wet and contracting when dry. Over decades that movement stresses pool shells, equalizer lines, and underground plumbing connections, especially at fittings and bends.
Hard water and calcium scale. Las Vegas Valley water is among the hardest in the western United States. Calcium deposits build up aggressively on equipment, skimmer throats, waterline tile, and inside plumbing runs. Calcium can hide small leaks behind crusty buildup until they grow into bigger leaks. Or it can increase line pressure to the point that older PVC fittings fail.
Extreme temperature swings. 110°F summer days and freezing winter nights cycle pool tile, coping, plaster, and PVC plumbing through dramatic expansion and contraction repeatedly. Years of this take a toll on glued joints, structural shells, and equipment seals.
Pool age varies dramatically by neighborhood. Older neighborhoods like East Las Vegas, Charleston Heights, Downtown, and parts of Sunrise Manor have pools 30 to 50+ years old with original galvanized fittings, original-build skimmers, and decades of accumulated ground movement. Newer Centennial Hills, Tule Springs, and Skye Canyon developments have post-tension slab construction with modern but tightly-packed plumbing. Different failure modes than older pools, but plenty of failure modes nonetheless.
SNWA rates and rebates. Rising Southern Nevada Water Authority rates mean even a small leak now costs real money. The good news: the SNWA offers leak-related rebates that often offset the cost of professional detection. We can point you to the right form when we deliver our findings.
Our Las Vegas Pool Leak Detection Process
We work the entire system: shell, plumbing, equipment. Visual inspection first, then pressure-test each plumbing line individually, then dye-test the shell, then electronic acoustic location for any underground lines that test as suspect. Most Las Vegas residential leak detection jobs take 2–4 hours on-site.

What Pool Leak Detection Costs in Las Vegas
Las Vegas is a competitive leak detection market, and we price our services to win on value, not on lowballing. Most residential Las Vegas leak detection jobs fall within a typical range, with pricing influenced by pool size, plumbing complexity, and accessibility. We give an upfront, all-in quote before we start. No hourly billing surprises, no discovery charges that show up at the end.
If we find the leak and you want it repaired, the detection cost can often roll into the repair quote. Saving you the cost of a separate service trip.
